Swaddling a newborn child is helps for a number of reasons. Yes! A light-weight 100% cotton blanket is safe to use in your nursery in the cooler months and great to use when you’re out and about too. It is recommended by SIDS to use as little as possible in your baby's cot for safety reasons and to tuck the blanket into the bottom of the cot. It's important to remember that a light-weight swaddle is recommended as a baby is cocooned in a swaddle. Once asleep be sure to check your baby's temperature by placing a hand on your baby's chest to ensure they're comfortably warm and not too hot.

Yes, right from birth is a great time to start using the Joey Pouch Swaddle Wrap. It is a lightweight 0.5TOG which is suitable for all year-round use.
